Social Media Feeds

Definition

Social Media Feeds allow you to embed dynamic content—such as text, images, audio, and video—from platforms like Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, and others directly into your Columbia Sites pages. Integrating these feeds can enhance user engagement and improve your website's SEO performance.

Where You Can Embed Social Media Feeds

Social Media Feeds can be embedded on the following page types:

  • Basic Pages

  • Landing Pages

  • News Articles

  • Individual Event Pages

How to Embed a Social Media Feed

Step 1: Obtain the Embed Code

Most social media platforms provide an embed code for their posts or feeds. Locate the desired content on the platform and copy the provided embed code.

Step 2: Add the Embed to Your Page

Edit the Desired Page:

  • If creating a new page, select the appropriate content type (e.g., Basic Page, Landing Page).

  • If editing an existing page, locate it in the Content Library and click Edit.

Insert the Embed Code:

  • Within the page editor, click on Add Page Section (for Landing Pages) or locate the desired section in Basic Pages.

  • Select Add Social Media Embed.

  • Paste the copied embed code into the provided field.

Save and Preview:

  • Click Save to apply the changes.

  • Use the Preview option to ensure the embedded feed displays correctly.
