Related Block

Related Block allows for text and a curated list of links to coexist within a block guiding users to supplementary resources or related content.

Overview

A Related Block is a content element in Columbia Sites that allows you to display a curated list of links related to the current page's content. This feature is useful for guiding users to additional resources, related articles, or external websites that complement the information presented.

Specifications and Usage

When to Use:

  • To provide readers with quick access to supplementary materials or related topics.

  • To enhance user navigation by linking to relevant internal or external pages.

  • To highlight resources, documents, or tools pertinent to the page's subject matter.

Specifications:

  • Title: Optional. Appears above the list of links, serving as a heading for the block.

  • Link Text: Required. The clickable text that users will see.

  • URL: Required. The destination address for the link text.

  • Multiple Entries: You can add multiple link text and URL pairs within a single Related Block.

How to create a Related Block

Insert a Related Block:

  • Within the editor, select Add Related Block from the available content options.

Enter the Title (Optional):

  • Provide a title for the block to describe the nature of the links.

  • This title will appear above the list of links.

Add Links:

  • Link Text: Enter the text that will be displayed as the clickable link.

  • URL: Enter the full URL that the link text will direct to.

  • To add more links, click on Add another item and repeat the process.

Save Changes
